The Visual Scope of the Service Buildings to Inclusion the Values and Vocabulary of the Urban Heritage as a Proposed Methodology for Preserving the Egyptian Identity in the New Urban Communities.

Abstract

Architectural identity is of interest to those concerned with architecture and urbanization in Egypt under the domination of globalization in the twenty-first century.  The importance of preserving architectural heritage in communicating with it and benefiting from its values and experiences. Because it represents the distinctive Egyptian identity and different solutions to contemporary problems.
In the last century, various solutions to rooting these values and vocabulary in originality and contemporary or other solutions and ideas; but the Westernization dominated the majority of new urban communities, by adopting the processes of copy of Western architecture, which often reflect traditions and customs far from our values and principles, environment and climate. And the preservation of it alone is no longer sufficient to reduce the phenomenon of Westernization and the decline of these historical evidence. It is necessary to work on different axes to retrieval the Egyptian identity. When an Arab goes to live in Europe he goes along with his principles and values that are due to hundreds of years. Identity cannot be left in the wind waiting for some of the efforts of individuals, which may not occur, there must be more than a line of defense.
This research can be considered as one of the axes to preserve the architectural identity. The adoption of the scope of service of buildings (commercial, educational, religious, health, and ....) residential neighborhoods as a visually scoping. Where the need and frequency on these buildings daily and high densities, Can be used to consolidate the vocabulary and heritage values in the design and configuration of service buildings, This will ensure the presence of many service buildings as open museums reflecting the Egyptian architectural identity and the adoption of its service scope as a visual scope to the design of service buildings. And to benefit from the numerical intensity in dealing with it and its location in achieving communication with heritage and reduce the process of Westernization. And the formulation of some of the results and recommendations to preserve the Egyptian identity distinctive to it and achieve this integration between the community and legislative planning as an integrated approach and adoption of the proposed plans for those urban communities, relying on the achievement of this method of analytical theory and conclusion
