This paper introduces the results of experimental investigations of the streaming current phenomenon in a practical oil-insulated 200 KVA, 3.3 KV/380 V distribution power transformer. A modification of oil path made it possible to investigate the most important factors affecting the static electrification up to 50oC. The results are of great importance for both manufactures and utilities.
